Lunar New Year + Valentine’s Origami

February is a month full of celebration, but finding time to relax can be hard with that endless barrage of midterms! o.o
Treat yourself to a well-deserved break at the upcoming Weekly Folds:

Year of the Ox | Sat. 2/6/2021 3-5 PM EST
The event will begin with a quick icebreaker: 2 truths and 1 lie about your Lunar New Year or 1/1 New Year traditions. We have a slideshow explaining the history of origami, but feel free to start folding right away! We’ll show attendees how to make a boat, waterbomb, and Chinese vase.

Valentine’s Day | Thur. 2/11/2021 5:00-6:30 PM EST
Advance registration is needed for this event!!! πŸ’
In collaboration with APUS, we are teaching Valentine’s-themed origami. Attendees can choose between two breakout rooms.
Room 1 πŸ’Œ
❦ Heart of True Love (design: Ekaterina Lukasheva)
❦ Secret message heart
❦ Lotus-like flower (Bhushan)
Room 2 πŸ’˜
❦ Heart ring
❦ Heart with Arrow (Hyo Ahn)
The style is not drop-in, so join the Zoom call on time! As described in the sign up form, APUS is kindly giving gift cards to U of T undergraduates who sign up and fold! 🎁
