I can’t believe a month has gone by so quickly! I know you’re busy with midterms, so I’ll give you a quick rundown of our list events this month!

• This week (Oct 2-Oct 8):
  • No workshop this Friday (Oct 7) (Happy early Thanksgiving to everyone! 🦃🎃)
  • Wednesday, Oct 5th ⌚ (5 – 8 PM): Sussex Open House
    • (Student-Life organized event), get to know the 50+ clubs and 15+ staff housed in the 21 Sussex Clubhouse!
  • Friday, Oct 7 ⌚(1 – 4 PM): UTFOLD office hours begin on Oct 7!
    • Join us in our clubroom, (Sussex Clubhouse, 21 Sussex Ave., Room 532), every Friday to talk and ask us questions!
    • From 1 – 2 PM, Lucy will be there, while from 2- 4 PM, Henry P. (VPE) will be taking over.
  • Friday, Oct 7:
    • Applications to be an UTFOLD executive will CLOSE by ⌚midnight (or whenever the DoMC remembers to close the application). If you’re interested in becoming an executive, please fill out this form! —-> https://forms.gle/yswyPzRaQPVh8hKJA However, if you suddenly remember the existence of this form at like 1 am and really wanted to be an executive, try filling out the form anyways.   • Saturday, Oct 8:
    • Voting form/announcement will be released in the morning, the voting form will close the following Friday, Oct 14th (Midnight).
      
• Next week (Oct 9- Oct 15):
  • Friday, Oct 14 ⌚(5 – 6:30 PM): Winddown Study Session
    • A very laidback workshop where students can choose to come in and study for midterms or fold some traditional origami. No intermediate models, only beginner-friendly models; we understand that your brains will be half-fried after your midterms. So just relax, fold or study with background folding sounds, and maybe bring home a cute paper souvenir. A reminder for this workshop will be sent out next week.
    • 🧭Location: SS1084 (This is the room that’s right next to the room used for the previous two workshops)
  • Friday, Oct 14: Voting for executive candidates will CLOSE at midnight.
    
• Oct 16 -Oct 22:
  • Friday, Oct 21 ⌚(5 – 7 PM): Origami Speakeasy Cafe🍹
    • Play some origami-related games or just fold whatever as usual, all while having the opportunity to buy some light refreshments. If you’re interested in attending, please let us know through this form: https://forms.gle/KrSgHGATMRc4TiaN7
    • More details to come. You can still attend the event if you don’t fill out the form, but filling out the form helps us gauge the number of snacks/drinks we’ll need.

  • Friday, Oct 28 ⌚ (4:30 PM-6:30 PM): Halloween Workshop
