Join our team and apply to become either our Advanced Workshop Coordinator or our Paper Engineer Coordinator for the year of 2014-2015. We are looking for enthusiastic and dedicated individuals who are deeply passionate about the folding techniques of origami. Advanced Workshop Coordinator
Tasks:
- Host monthly Advanced Workshops that are dedicated towards tackling one or more intermediate-advanced level origami models.
- In charge of planning the Advanced Workshop and figuring out the instructional content behind the origami model(s) that will be taught during the workshop.
What We Are Looking For:
- Enthusiastic individuals that can engage an audience
- Passionate about teaching origami to others
- Able to explain difficult concepts within folding
- Prior experience with origami is highly preferred
- Ready to come with a mindset to learn anything new assigned to them and take challenges
Paper Engineer Coordinator
Tasks:
- In charge of producing the Weekly FOLD project and working along with the Webmaster to increase the project’s online visibility
- The Weekly FOLD Project involves folding and creating a weekly/biweekly online promotional material for showcasing an origami model that deserves to be brought to attention within the F.O.L.D. community. Past examples can be seen on our website under What’s New -> Weekly FOLD.
What We Are Looking For:
- An individual that is passionate about origami and its folding techniques
- Ready to explore new ideas and concepts within the world of origami
- Prior experience with photoshop and camera use is preferred but not mandatory
- Prior experience with origami is preferred but not mandatory
- Ready to come with a mindset to learn anything new assigned to them and take challenges
