(Origami is the Japanese art of paper-folding.) Celebrate Origami Week with UTFOLD by learning how to fold a variety of models from boxes, to fancy dresses, to flowers. Drop by on Nov 9-11 11am – 3pm SS Lobby Table 3! Participation is completely free. All materials will be provided by UTFOLD. All skill levels are welcome.
Join us for Boxy Wednesday where we’ll be teaching the traditional Masu box, triangle cake box, tall box, and pen holder container! If you have an extra bit of time, you might also be interested in learning the fox box or the flip top box.
On Dressy Thursday, learn how to dress best with models such as the t-shirt & tie, cocktail dress, and long coat. Since the weather is getting cold, you could also stay warm with some paper moccasin shoes!
To celebrate Remembrance Day and Origami Week together, on Floral Friday, you’ll have the chance to fold a pinnable paper poppy! Want to fold other flowers as well? We got roses, lilies, lotuses, and cactuses lined up too!
We’ll be ending Origami Week with a “Card-Making Workshop for Toronto Western Hospital” in SS1086 5-7pm, where we’ll be making cards with origami decorations. A Certificate of Participation can be provided for all participants who attend this workshop.
